We offer private guided boat tours to couples and small groups. With us you get to experience wonderful nature and picturesque island scenery while enjoying small snacks. If you wish, we can also provide à la carte dishes from our restaurant Hilpeä Hirvi for your tour. Our experienced guides are very knowledgeable of Lake Päijänne and speak both Finnish and English.
Boat tour on Lake Päijänne

A boat trip to the Paatsalo lagoon where you might even spot a beaver, if luck strikes. If you wish, we can go ashore on the lagoon where it’s possible to swim. From the serene lagoon we zoom ahead for a spell on our open boat, admiring the scenery of Päijänne and visiting fascinating spots such as the Vuorissalo Island.
It is also possible to hop aboard from the Seppola harbour in Jämsä town centre. If this is the case, we will make our way along the Jämsänjoki River towards the south. We will pass by Arvaja and Edessalo all the way until the Pihlajakoski where you have the option to dine at your own expense at Pihjalakoski’s idyllic harbour cabin. Our guided tours are conducted on a brand new Flipper 700 DC open boat with a 225 horsepower motor.
If you wish to visit some other places on Lake Päijänne, we can also tailor the tour according to your wishes.

There are plenty of fascinating locations on Lake Päijänne and we can plan the route along the places you wish to see and visit. For example, we could depart from one of Jämsä’s harbours and go to Kelvenne, the main island of the Päijänne National Park with terrific beaches and ridges. From Kelvenne we could continue on to the Ilola Inn in Sysmä’s guest marina where you could dine at your own expense. Would you like to travel from Vaheri or Patajoki to Jyväskylä over the water? Jyväskylä offers many sights to see and experiences to be had, including the famous buildings designed by Alvar Aalto, numerous high-quality restaurants, a diverse offering of summer events as well as plenty of boutiques and shopping centres. We make one-way boat trips either to Jyväskylä, or back to Jämsä from Jyväskylä harbour. Along the route we go under the grand Kärkinen Bridge and traverse through northern Päijänne while enjoying the scenery. Please note that we do not offer round trips.

We depart from Jämsä town centre and go along the river from the mouth of Hulkkio to Vaheri harbour in Jämsänniemi. From the harbour we move to Restaurant Hirvikartano (Moose Manor) where you may dine at your own expense. On a guided moose tour you get to meet the enchanting deer, roe and reindeer up close. From Hirvikartano our cruise either winds up back in Jämsä town centre or at Himos at your own expense.
